Your link has a much better chance of success if it is developed through an existing relationship. If this is not possible links can be successful where there are no existing connections - you will just need to be put extra time into developing relations between staff at the beginning.

• Do you have any other form of links with any other schools already?
• Do any of your teachers attend network meetings where they meet with other local teachers?
• Does anyone have any friends teaching in local schools?
• Does the Teacher Advisor attached to your school know of any schools looking for a link?
• Have you been in contact with your local DEC, do they know any schools looking for a link?
